Next Generation of Whole-Family Behavioral Health Strategies for People with Low Incomes

DATE: Friday, September 22, 2017

TIME: 10:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. Eastern

LOCATION: Center for Total Health, Washington, D.C.

GCPI, in partnership with Mental Health America and Kaiser Permanente, hosted the first of four convenings focused on identifying the next generation of behavioral health strategies for people with low incomes. The invitation-only event, focused on whole-family behavioral health, brought together healthcare professionals, policy experts, and practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds to identify, encourage, and facilitate innovative cross-sector clinical and non-clinical strategies to address the behavioral health needs of low-income families, especially women and children. Attendees focused on developing a vision for a whole-family behavioral health strategy, what challenges there are in achieving that vision, the different resources that can be leveraged from different sectors, and came up with action items for their organizations. See here for more information on this convening.
