Megan Rivera was a Senior Policy Analyst at the Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality. Megan led policy development and research projects on health and human services and postsecondary education.

Previously, Megan served as the Policy and Outreach Advisor on the House Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth, where she analyzed and organized national field hearings on workforce development, access to financial services, taxes, macroeconomic stabilization, and human services delivery. Megan has also served in research, policy, and advocacy roles for the University of Virginia’s Department of Politics, Global Policy Center, and Equity Center, and the Texas House of Representatives.

Megan holds a B.S. in Political Science with honors from the University of Houston and a Master of Public Policy from the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.

Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Megan currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her partner and dog, Meeko.
