On August 10, GCPI co-hosted a webinar entitled, “Taking on Chronic Unemployment: Lessons Learned from 40 Years of Subsidized Employment Programs,” with the National Employment Law Project (NELP) and Heartland Alliance. The webinar shared the findings and recommendations from the center’s recent report on subsidized employment—the most extensive on this topic to date—and provided information on how states can explore adopting and innovating programs of their own.
