DATE: Thursday, May 31, 2018

TIME: 10:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. Eastern

LOCATION: Center for Total Health, Washington, D.C.

GCPI, in partnership with Mental Health America and Kaiser Permanente, hosted the third of four convenings focused on addressing the behavioral health challenges related to the child welfare system. The invitation-only event brought together healthcare professionals, policy experts, and practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds to identify, encourage, and facilitate innovative cross-sector clinical and non-clinical strategies to address the behavioral health needs of families who come into contact with the child welfare system. Attendees focused on developing a vision for a behavioral health strategy for families in contact with the child welfare system, the different resources that can be leveraged from existing programs and sectors, and came up with policy ideas.
