Addressing the Behavioral Health Challenges of Low-Income Mothers
DATE: Thursday, February 8, 2018
TIME: 10:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. Eastern
LOCATION: Center for Total Health, Washington, D.C.
GCPI, in partnership with Mental Health America and Kaiser Permanente, hosted the second of four convenings focused on addressing the behavioral health challenges of low-income mothers. The invitation-only event, focused on maternal behavioral health, brought together healthcare professionals, policy experts, and practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds to identify, encourage, and facilitate innovative cross-sector clinical and non-clinical strategies to address the behavioral health needs of low-income mothers. Attendees focused on developing a vision for a maternal behavioral health strategy, what challenges there are in achieving that vision, the different resources that can be leveraged from different sectors, and came up with action items for their organizations.
