Communications & Development Specialist
Hailey Joyce Padua is the Communications & Development Specialist at the Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality’s Economic & Opportunity Initiative. She develops communications content, including public relations, website, and social media content, and supports fundraising efforts.
Previously, Hailey was a State Fiscal Policy Campaigns Intern for the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, where she helped coordinate campaign efforts to strengthen state safety nets, researched progressive tax and budget ballot initiatives, and analyzed data trends to assess effectiveness of voter texting programs. She also worked for the U.S. Census Bureau as an enumerator, conducting interviews and information quality-checks to obtain accurate information to secure representation and funding for communities, especially historically undercounted populations such as people of color, immigrants, and children.
Hailey graduated summa cum laude, Pi Sigma Alpha, earning her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Economic Policy from the University of Nevada, Reno.
