OLIVIA VITA

Coordinator, Economic Security and Opportunity Initiative
Olivia Vita was the Coordinator of the Economic Security & Opportunity Initiative at the Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality from 2019-2021. She enabled the smooth functioning of the Initiative and provided staff with administrative, financial, communications, and project support.

Previously, Olivia was the Events Coordinator Assistant at Georgetown Center for Contemporary Arab Studies where she assisted faculty and staff with academic and public events and processed monthly department expenditures. She also served as a Finance & Communications intern at American Near East Refugee Aid where she provided development assistance for school-building and agrobusiness projects in Gaza. Olivia worked on Palestinian and Israeli human rights with Eyewitness Palestine as a Fellow with the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs, which focuses on exploring the intersection of faith and justice.

Olivia earned her B.A. in Anthropology with a focus on culture, race formation, and the African diaspora at Georgetown University.
